The South Ossetian delegation took part in the farewell ceremony for Vladimir Kuznetsov

On Tuesday the delegation of South Ossetia took part in the funeral ceremony of farewell to Doctor of History Vladimir Kuznetsov, the press service of the Republic’s Parliament reports.

“The farewell ceremony for the Soviet and Russian historian and archaeologist in Vladikavkaz was attended by Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Alborov, rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and the head of the South Ossetian consulate in Vladikavkaz Maurice Sanakoev,” the statement of the press service reads.

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia laid a wreath at the Motherland monument in St. Petersburg

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia laid a wreath on behalf of the people of the Republic at the foot of the Motherland monument at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

The event took place on Wednesday, on the eve of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War.

As noted by the press service of the diplomatic organization, the column of representatives of diplomatic missions was traditionally led by the delegation of the South Ossetian Embassy in Russia.

A minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims.

A memorial plaque in honor of the evacuation hospital No. 1960 was unveiled in Tskhinval

At the Tskhinval school No. 3, the opening ceremony of a memorial plaque was held in honor of the evacuation hospital No. 1960, deployed on the territory of the educational institution during the Great Patriotic War, has taken place. Here, soldiers who were wounded on the battlefields received medical care.

A monument to the Soviet illegal intelligence officer Vladimir Lokhov was unveiled in Tskhinval

In the capital of South Ossetia, the official opening of a monument to the Soviet-Russian illegal intelligence officer, a native of South Ossetia, Vladimir Iosifovich Lokhov, has taken place.

The bust was installed near the Parliament building of the Republic. The opening ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Republic led by President Alan Gagloev, Lokhov’s son and daughter Igor and Alla, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, representatives of ministries and departments, as well as the public.
