On Friday, President of the Republic of South Ossetia received the fighters and expressed gratitude to them for their steadfastness and courage on the battlefield, the press service of the head of state reports.
“You defend your Motherland at the cost of your own life. We have heard a lot about your exploits and heroism. Thank you for your perseverance,” the President said, welcoming the fighters.
Alan Gagloev has noted that, despite serious injuries, the fighters continue to heroically defend the interests of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.
“Many people should follow the example of warriors like you. You are not stopped by complex wounds received during the combat operations. You go to the front line again and again, continuing the work of your great-grandfathers. The republic will be proud of you, and young people, I am sure, will look up to you,” he has emphasized.
For their part, the members of the special military operation expressed gratitude to the president and noted that they would not let him down and would go to the end.
For the courage and bravery shown in the performance of military duty during the special military operation, Alan Gagloev presented Tamerlan Magkoev, Rudolf Pliev and Astemyr Tskhurbati with high state awards - the “Defender of the Fatherland” medals.
