On Theater Square, on Tuesday, a dress rehearsal for a military parade was held in the capital of South Ossetia to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic Alan Gagloev came to check the readiness for the parade.
On the central square of the city, parade squads of the Defense Ministry, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Border Service, the KGB, and the 4th Guards Russian Military Base followed in a solemn march.
The parade on May 9 will be hosted by Acting Minister of Defense of South Ossetia, Guard Colonel Inal Sabanov, and the parade will be commanded by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Ossetia, Guard Colonel Hamlet Gabaraev.
